As this is Santa Rosa Junior Hockey Club's largest fundraiser of the year, there are many ways that you can help out -- and all of your help goes directly towards keeping hockey dues down:

Donations:  Donations are needed for the our silent auction.  Ideas??  Electronics, electronic games, hockey memorabilia, hockey camps or clinics, sports tickets, concert tickets, restaurant gift cards, spa packages, wine tours, Bed & Breakfast Inn stays, rounds of golf, nice wines......  If you have any questions or donations to pass off, please contact Julie Klinger at: hmngbrd13@sbcglobal.net

Off-Ice Officials:  Each team is responsible for making sure all of their division games (not just the ones that their favorite Flyer is playing in) have the following: a clock/time keeper, a scorekeeper, announcer/music coordinator, shot counters, penalty box attendants and locker room attendants. We need experienced volunteers for these positions  -- those that have worked them during regular season games. Volunteers should be very familiar with what each position entails.  Please contact your team manager if you have any questions regarding these positions.

Be sure to check out the Hospitality Room upstairs at the rink: This is a unique area of our tournament that others don't usually have.  You’ll find tasty snacks and refreshing drinks available. Nancy's Fancys is supplying all the decorations!! It is nice to offer adults a quiet place to grab something to eat, relax and watch the game.

HERE'S a list of the VENDORS you will find at the tournament this year: Northwest Designs who capture the tournament with their cool T-shirts and hoodies; Liz, the Rhinestone Gal who makes us hockey girls look great with her rhinestone T-shirts, jackets, hats and more! Ron and Denise Calef Photography (check out their web page ProSportsPixOnline.com;  they do amazing posters!  There will also be great MERCHANDISE FOR SALE:  WCFO pucks, mini sticks, water bottles with the new logo and  souvenir wine glasses and coffee mugs from year's past .  Add in all the wonderful team baskets…. A Wii basket, Tail Gate basket, Hockey basket and an Xbox 360 basket for the raffle sales. Not to mention that we have 3 signed Shark's jerseys-- (Thornton, Cheechoo, and Marleau!)

The WCFO Program: Be sure to purchase one during the tournament!!  We have another fabulous program this year, thanks to the hard work of Stephanie Faulkner & Cindy Cleary! Thanks to both of you for all of your hard work! All the printing was donated by Bryan Neill/Bantam Dad and GPM in Rohnert Park . Thank you Bryan and GPM, and all who have taken out ads and hockey grams!

  •   CURIOUS ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR?  ........

  • Hospitality:  Upstairs at the rink where adults come for a moment of peace and quiet, as well as to grab a quick snack. Volunteers simply need keep an eye on the tables that have food, making sure tables stay stocked. In addition items like wine glasses & coffee mugs will be offered for sale.

  • Info Table: Incoming teams will check in here, as well  as those working various game slots like Clock, Scorekeeper, Announcer, Penalty Box Attendants, and Locker Room Attendants. Details from games already played will be posted here, as well as the upcoming schedule. This is where visitors can pick up brochures with information about Sonoma County, such as local dining spots, wineries, shopping ....

  • Sales/Raffle Table:  This is where people can come to purchase raffle tickets for the various baskets and other raffle items. Souvenir programs, WCFO SNOOPY pins, Flyers pins, WCFO collector pucks & mini sticks, and Hockey Chocolate can be purchased here as well as Pasta Dinner Tickets. The people working here will also monitor the Silent Auction table.

  • Pasta Ticket Sales : Two hours prior to the dinner, a separate area will be set up to sell tickets for the dinner.  Pasta Dinner Servers:  3 servers will be needed to help serve the food during the dinner.

  • Info and Sales Table: This is on Monday only. Because the Raffle tables have closed, we are combining the Info Table with the Sales table. Games still need to be played on Monday, and this will continue to be the place where teams check in. Anyone wanting to purchase any items that we have for sale can do it here on Monday. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LAST 3 SHIFTS ON MONDAY, 2/18 FROM 2:30 - 4:00PM ARE FOR BREAKDOWN OF TOURNAMENT AND CLEAN-UP. (If you're still around -- please lend a hand in helping).  THANK YOU!

  • Locker Rooms: This is a great job for the dads out there! You will check in about 75 minutes before a scheduled game at the Info Table. You will be given a key to your assigned locker room, and you will go through the locker room with the coach/team manager of the team assigned to it. You are going to note any existing damage in the locker room, and at the end of the game, you will go back through with the same person, and note any additional damage. The Club has to pay the rink for any damage done to the locker rooms during the tournament. Sometimes kids, especially the older ones, get a little rowdy and disrespectful in the locker rooms. This helps us monitor that, and hold the responsible parties accountable.

  • Clock/time keepers, scorekeepers, announcer/music coordinators, shot counters and  penalty box attendants: We need experienced volunteers for these positions  -- those that have worked them during regular season games. Volunteers should be very familiar with what each position entails.  Please contact your team manager if you have any questions regarding these positions.

Does your player (or sibling) have Community Service hours to fill? Let them fill hours by working at the Tournament.  They can:

  • Help out at the sales table (we will pair them with an adult)

  • Pass out pucks and collect the money for the Chuck-A-Puck Games

  • Keep watch over the silent auction and raffle tables

  • If your Flyer (or sibling) is interested please email Michelle Siemsen at mchelica@sonic.net.
