COVID Protocols:
We are reopening our programming under the physical fitness guidelines.  That means that we will resume the same skill building format that we had in the Fall with some minor changes:

  • All players must wear a mask the entire time.
  • All players must have their own water bottle.
  • No contact is allowed between players.
  • All players must enter the building dressed with everything except skates (except goalies)
  • All players must leave the building in full gear and get undressed elsewhere.
  • No locker rooms will be available.
  • Every person entering the building will need to have a temperature check upon entering.
  • Players can be accompanied by family members (up to 4 per player).  These family members can observe practice in designated area.  They must wear a mask the entire time and keep socially distant from other families.

Welcome to Intro to Hockey

Intro to Hockey is a great place for boys and girls to learn how to play ice hockey.  Our program features non-contact classes and is designed for anyone who wants to work on their hockey fundamentals.  All ages are welcomed, provided they have the ability to skate on their own, and there are no safety concerns expressed by the coaching staff.  It is fun, safe and will get your player zipping around the ice in no time!

Summer 2021 Intro clinic

This summer, the Intro to Hockey session will run for 8 weeks every Sunday from 7:30-8:30 starting .June 6th, 2021

Each player needs a hockey helmet, stick, gloves, and skates to participate.  We offer a beginner equipment package for new players for $100  that includes helmet, stick and gloves. Snoopy's Home Ice will allow you to rent skates with a $50 deposit of which you will get $40 back when you return them at the end of the session..

Questions about Intro to Hockey

If you have any questions about your child's skating requirements for intro please contact Coach Chris Woida at 707-272-3451. We recommend a quick call with the coach to assess your child’s skill level and determine the best place for him/her in Intro.

Group Skating Lessons for Intro Players

With Covid:  Snoopys is not currently offering these lessons, but the hope to start up again in the Fall.

Is your aspiring hockey player interested in Intro to Hockey but worried about his or her skating ability?  We highly recommend enrolling in group skating lessons offered by the excellent instructors at Snoopy's Home Ice. Group skating lessons are a great precursor or supplemental practices for Intro to Hockey.
