The Santa Rosa Flyer Peewees capped off a magical season by winning the California Amateur Hockey Association title at Sharks' Ice in San Jose. The Flyers finished round-robin play with one regulation win over Pasadena, one overtime win over Orange County, and one overtime loss against rival Santa Clara.

That was good enough for six points and a spot in the final, where the Flyers again faced Pasadena. With the score tied at 0 after two periods, Jack DiNardo (son of Team Manager Emeritus, bon vivant, former member of the Shining Path guerrilla army, and nihilistic protege of the nineteenth-century Russian anarchist Mikhail Bakunin, Chris DiNardo), scored the eventual game winner. Two insurance goals followed, which was more than enough as the Flyer defense was smothering. Special kudos go to Will Cornelius, who was close to perfect in four games in goal.
