2025-2026 Tryouts
*** ALL players should bring their dark and light game jerseys to all sessions of the tryout. ***
Tryouts for the 2025-2026 season will be held on June 7th and 8th, 2025. There will be three on ice sessions for each age group. In order to complete a full assessment, we recommend that you attend all 3 skating sessions.
Our tryouts are being held before the normal tryout weekend due to rink renovations. Because of the early dates there are restrictions on who can try out.
You are an eligible player if:
You played for SRJHC (The Flyers) in the 2024--2025 season.
You played for a club outside of Northern California during the 2024--2025 season.
You are NOT eligible if:
You played for another NorCal club in the 2024-2025 season.

EXCITING COACHING ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON – TEAM BLACK
We’re proud to announce the coaching staff for Team Black as we head into the upcoming youth hockey season. This group brings a strong mix of experience, energy, and commitment to player development across all age levels:
• Sammy Vogel-Seidenberg will serve as Head Coach for our Mite (8U) program
• Chad Canepa will lead as Head Coach of our Squirt (10U) team
• Tom Billiter will take the reins as Head Coach of our Peewee (12U) team
• Ryan Sweeney will guide our Bantam (14U) players as Head Coach
• Mike Kovanis will be returning as Head Coach of our High School Varsity team
Please join us in welcoming and supporting these coaches as they help shape a great season of growth, development, and fun for our players.
We’ll be announcing our Team Orange coaching staff as soon as possible following the conclusion of tryouts the weekend of June 7–8 (Saturday and Sunday). Stay tuned!
